Established by SPARC (the Scholarly Publishing and Academic Resources Coalition) and partners in the student community in 2008, International Open Access Week is happening worldwide between 23 and 29 October 2017. The Theme of the 2017 International Open Access Week is ‘Open in order to…’

The Office of Scholarly Communication (OSC) is organising several events including

  • Wednesday 25 October - helping researchers in the Humanities, Arts & Social Sciences subjects publish, featuring speakers from The Conversation, Open Humanities Press and UCL Press

  • Friday 27 October - showcasing publishing options for researchers in the Science, Technology, Engineering & Mathematics subjects, featuring contributions from PLOS, Scholastica and Cambridge University Press
