If you are applying for a research project that involves a clinical trial or study, you may need to include a SoECAT (Schedule of Events Cost Attribution Tool) with your grant application. From 1st April 2023, the Excel version has been replaced with a new online tool. You will need to create an account so that you can log on to the tool

We advise you to check the funder guidance as to whether a SoECAT is required, before informing ROO of your intention to submit an application (minimum of 4 weeks’ notice).  Once you submit your SoECAT using the new online tool, it takes 10 working days for it to be processed and validated. The Clinical Research Network East of England Study Support Service (CRN EoE SSS) are the team who deal with SoECATs and they have produced an infographic to support applications.

If you have any questions, please contact the CRN EoE SSS team at crneoe.studysupport@nihr.ac.uk.
