X5 was updated on 4th July 2023, with new fEC rates which are effective from 1st July 2023. The University has made an adjustment to the research charge-out rates following a review of the way central administration costs are classified, with the effect that the indirect rate has reduced and the estates rates have increased slightly.
For existing costings in X5, the Rates tab will show these files as out of date. To apply the new rates to existing costings, go to the rates table tab and update the out of date files by clicking on “apply all updated files now”. Please be aware that your costs will change due to these new rates.
