The University of Cambridge has been notified by UK Research and Innovation (UKRI) of our forthcoming Funding Assurance Programme audit. The visit is planned for the 25th - 26th September 2018 and in preparation for this we need to submit some key information to UKRI by mid-July.  UKRI will be sampling 119 grants of which 48 grant will require transaction and staff listings. For the remaining 71 grants, general information will be reviewed, including accuracy of record keeping, variation between income and expenditure, and existence of appropriate collaborative agreements.

For the 48 grants that will be reviewed in full, departments should have received an email from the Research Operations Office (ROO) with details of what is required by mid-July. For the 71 grants that will have a general review, the ROO are checking these and will be in touch with Departments if further information is required. The list of 119 grants to be audited and the UKRI letter outlining details of their visit can be viewed by Departments here.

The ROO has organised two sessions to help with the preparation for the audit. These sessions are aimed at those Departments whose grants are undergoing the full audit, however all administrative staff are welcome.
