Costing staff in X5 and Worktribe
Following the recent announcement by Professor Kamal Munir regarding the pay and benefits package for staff (email dated 29/07/24), we are currently working through how to implement into our X5 and Worktribe systems, the increase of 2.5% pay for those at or below point 48 on the Cambridge pay scales.
In the meantime, we recommend that when costing your project which includes staff up to point 48, you move them up a pay point to reflect the increased costs.
We will update you in due course when we expect the adjustments to be made in X5 and Worktribe.
Book your Worktribe training now
Are you a member of professional services staff involved in the applications or contracts stages of research grants in a department at the University?
Ahead of Worktribe being introduced to the remaining schools and institutions during Michaelmas Term 2024, it is essential that you book your training now to succeed with the new system. Specific information will be made available separately for Heads of Department and Principal Investigators.

Further information is available on our SharePoint site.
Reminder: Cross-school collaboration process
As the introduction of Worktribe is phased, this means some departments will still be using X5, while others are using Worktribe. When departments move over to using Worktribe, access to X5 will be made read-only.
A dedicated Worktribe Transition Support Team (TST) is available in the Research Office to support cross-school collaborations. The lead department on an application (whether an X5 or Worktribe user) must email the TST at worktribecrossschool@uis.cam.ac.uk no later than 10 days before the funder deadline to request support.
