The UK Government has published guidance on UK association to the Horizon Europe and Copernicus programmes. It is an explainer for applicants and grant holders which includes details about eligibility, consortia and timescales. Please read if you are applying for a 2023 or 2024 Work Programme.

MSCA COFUND 2023 Call Information Event
UKRO is holding an information webinar for organisations and individuals interested in applying to the MSCA COFUND 2023 call. The call deadline is 8th February 2024. The webinar will take place on 19th October 2023, 9:30am - 11:30am, UK time. Registration is required in advance and further details are available on the event website.
MSCA Doctoral Network 2023 Call
Handbook
MSCA-NET, the network of National Contact Points (NCPs) for the MSCA, has prepared an unofficial handbook for applicants to the MSCA Doctoral Networks (DN) 2023 call. The main aim of this handbook is supporting NCPs in assisting applicants, but it can also be used by research managers and applicants for the MSCA DN 2023 call applications. Clarification on Completing Part A of the MSCA DN Proposal
The Research Executive Agency (REA) has published further guidance which notes that Associated Partners do not need to provide information about their researchers in Part A of the application form for the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA) Doctoral Networks 2023 call. This is in line with the guidance from the previous MSCA DN call.
UK-based entities can continue to participate in the MSCA DN 2023 and the funding for UK-based beneficiaries will be provided by the UKRI Underwrite for Horizon Europe.
Horizon Europe Info Days Cluster 2 - Culture, Creativity and Inclusive Society
The EC is organising an online infoday on 18th October 2023 to inform (potential) applicants about topics included in the Cluster 2 'Culture, Creativity and Inclusive Societies' work programme for 2024. Further details and registration are available on the EC events website.
On the 19th October 2003, there will be an online networking event organised by Net4Society the network for Cluster 2. If you are looking for additional partners to build up your consortium and would like to participate, please register in advance for this online event.
VAT training session on research grants and contracts – 10th October 2023
The University Tax Office with the support of the Research Office is hosting an online VAT training session on research grants and contracts aimed at administrative staff in Departments. The session will be led by Angela Fearnside, Deputy Head of VAT, who will provide a 30-minute presentation on key VAT topics, tools and guidance, followed by 15 minutes for Q&A.

RGUG Meeting 28th September 2023 - recording and presentations now available
Thank you to those who were able to attend the Research Grants User Group Meeting (RGUG) on 28th September 2023. We were delighted to have our first hybrid meeting and we will continue with this format in future. The recording and slides from the 28th September are now available.
