Researchfish Funder Submission - deadline 11th March 2021

The deadline for PIs to submit their research outcomes into Researchfish is Thursday 11th March at 4pm for many funders including UKRI, CRUK, BHF and NIHR. Due to the current COVID pandemic, funders have been reviewing their exemption and sanction policies to take account of those individuals who are unable to report (according to specific funder criteria) during the 2021 submission window.
 
PIs who are unable to submit their return this year, are asked to contact their funder for consideration regarding their exemptions policy. For those PIs who can report, they should be encouraged to log onto their Researchfish account and submit their return. Further details are available on the ROO website.
 
 

ERC Starting Grant and Consolidator Grant Calls

Academics and research support staff can find details of the ERC Starting Grant and Consolidator Grant Calls on the ROO website. Information includes

  • a crib sheet about how to apply to the Starting Grant
  • forthcoming UKRO webinars on 16th & 19th March about eligibility criteria and proposal development
  • links to the proposal templates
Although the funder deadline for the Starting Grant Call is 8th April 2021, the ROO Internal deadline for this call is 26th March 2021. Note that when doing the costing in X5, you should use the updated X5 template which has been modified to account for changes to eligible costs in Horizon Europe. 

 

X5 Notifications

New functionality now exists within X5 that notifies users of messages/announcements when they log on to the system. The number of announcements is indicated by the bell in the header information next to workflow tasks notifications. A screen shot of this alert can be seen under “Other new functionalities” in the new SharePoint user manual.

 

RGUG 25th February 2021 - slides and recording available

Thank you to everyone who attend the Research Grants User Group (RGUG) Meeting on Thursday 25th February. Presentations included CJRS, Horizon Europe and Export Control. The slides and recording are now available on the RGUG web page.
