pFACT - Research Council funders change on 6 June 2011

Please be advised that pFACT will be down on Monday 6 June 2011 from 08:00 to 10:00. This downtime is taking place in order to implement changes in relation to the following RCUK efficiency changes:

1) Minor equipment items up to £10k (incl. VAT).

Equipment items under £10,000 will be reclassified within pFACT to consumables. This represents an increase from the previous threshold of £3,000.

2) Equipment over £50K


The previous policy of 80% funding of equipment up to £50,000 and 100% funding of equipment over £50,000 no longer applies.


The Je-S submission report

Please note that the Je-S Submission report is hard coded, therefore any equipment at £50,000 or over entered in the Facilities and Equipment screen, will still be detailed as an ‘Exceptional Cost’ in the Resource Summary section of the output.

It is recommended that when logging in again, all pFACT users utilise the 'Recalculate' function to ensure all information is updated within any project proposals that are currently being worked on.
