X5 Training – 15th August 2019

MSCA Individual Fellowships - Deadline for Applications

All MSCA-IFs (European and Global Fellowships included) can be treated as a small application, therefore can be submitted to the ROO one working day before the deadline. Applications should reach the ROO by 4pm on 10th September. Details of the Fellowship are available on the crib sheet which can be found on the ROO website.

 

ERC Starting Grant Call 2020, Seminar for Applicants - 11th September 2019

Researchers who are planning to apply to the 2020 ERC Starting Grant Call are invited to attend an information seminar. Aimed at potential applicants, Dr Akshay Rao who is an ERC starting grant holder, will provide insights from his experience and Mrs Francesca Nieto, EU & International research facilitator will provide information on how to apply.

In addition to the information session, the EU team will also organising boot camps during September to support ERC Starting Grants applicants to write their proposal. UKRI Review of Support for AI

EPSRC is working with colleagues across UKRI on a review of the AI landscape, to understand current support for AI research and innovation, and engage stakeholders in  identifying opportunities and future directions. To stay informed about the progress of the UKRI AI review, you can sign up to their mailing list using the smart survey link.

 

EPSRC Physical Sciences Impact Event

EPSRC is hosting an event on the 6th December in London to discuss and showcase the impacts of physical sciences research. Applications to exhibit at the Showcase are invited from EPSRC-funded researchers, with a deadline of 20th September 2019.

For successful applicants, the Cambridge IAA team will provide financial support to help produce the exhibit, and the Public Engagement central team will provide additional in-kind support and guidance on producing the exhibit and presenting it to different audiences.
