UKRI announcement to include a Gender Equality Statement in all GCRF and Newton Fund applications
For all applications to UKRI GCRF and Newton Fund calls / competitions, it is now mandatory to provide a Gender Equality Statement. This statement must outline how applicants have taken meaningful yet proportionate consideration as to how the project will contribute to reducing gender inequalities, as required under the International Development (Gender Equality) Act 2014. This should be no longer than one page and attached as a ‘non-UK Component’ through Je-S.
X5 - USS pension rate added
X5 has been updated with a new salary file with an effective date of 01/04/2019 which contains the proposed USS pension rate of 24.2%. Users who wish to use the existing rate of 19.5% should select the 01/02/2019 salary file.
Delegated authority limits for grant applications
When submitting grant applications to the Research Operations Office, please be aware of your Department’s delegated authority limits. These are set out in the annual Delegation of Financial Authority letter which is signed by the Head of Department and lists those individuals who are able to carry out particular tasks and their signing limits.
RGUG meeting – 27 June 2019
