Application Deadlines - Working Days Calculator
To help you work out when your grant application should reach the Research Operations Office, there is a new tool on the ROO website. Enter the funder deadline into the application deadline calculator and it will give you the date when you need to have your application with ROO.
Costing USS Pensions in UKRI Applications
UK Research & Innovation (UKRI) has confirmed that the new potential pension cost contributions agreed by the USS can now be included in new grant proposals. We are currently reviewing how to include these costs in X5 and will update you prior to the rates being uploaded.
Disposing of unwanted research equipment
How do you dispose of unwanted and outdated research equipment? Whilst equipment is potentially valuable, re-use options can be limited and often research equipment is disposed of as waste. To help tackle this issue, the University's environmental team have recently launched a pilot trial of the Uni Green Scheme equipment resale service.
Uni Green Scheme (UGS) collaborates with the equipment sharing project and the environmental team to collect, store and sell surplus equipment for universities which then returns a share of the profits from the equipment sales to departments.
