pFACT pay scales change 9 May 2011

Please be advised that pFACT will be down on Monday 9 May 2011 from 08:00 to 10:00. This downtime is taking place in order to upload the new pay scales for August 2010 which will incorporate the 0.4% pay uplift and the changes in the NI Rate from April 2011.

It is recommended that when logging in again, all pFACT users utilise the 'Recalculate' function to ensure all information is updated within any project proposals that are currently being worked on.

If you have any queries, please contact your School team at the Research Office or the pFACT helpdesk e-mail or phone (7)65432.

Multiple Sclerosis Society update

The MS Society has recently become a charitable company limited by guarantee. The move to charitable company status has been put in place to modernise its governance arrangements and to bring the Society in line with the majority of other large charitable organisations.

Furthermore, recipients of Society awards must not accept any donations directly from MS Society branches. If the recipient does so, the amount will be deducted from the overall Award. In the event that an MS Society branch approaches an Award Recipient in relation to making a donation, then please contact the Society's fundraising team,
