TES Charges on H2020 awards
We have recently become aware that parts of the staff costs charged to EC grants by the Temporary Employment Service (TES) may be ineligible under Horizon 2020 rules. As per Articles 6 and 18 of the Annotated Model Grant Agreement, the cost of internally invoiced goods and services must be free of profit, margin or mark-ups.
Therefore any element of the TES costs identified by ROO at the time of reporting as being ineligible, will have to be removed from the grant and covered by the Department’s other source of funds.
If you have any queries and further details please contact the EC team.
Forthcoming CRUK Audit
Cancer Research UK has informed us that they intend to carry out an audit of approximately 200-300 transactions from 16 research grants. The audit will be done remotely and Departments will be contacted by mid-April if their grants have been selected for audit.
