ERC Advanced Grant information session – 6th July 2017

The European Research Council (ERC) Advanced Grant scheme is aimed at academics from any discipline who have a track-record of significant research achievements in the last 10 years. Funding of up to €2.5 million is available for projects up to 5 years and the call deadline is 31st  August 2017. More details about the scheme can be found at https://erc.europa.eu/funding/advanced-grants.

The Research Operations Office (ROO) is organising an information session about applying to the scheme.

The session will include a brief overview of the scheme by Bethan Jones, the ERC Officer for the University of Cambridge, with hints and tips from Professor Martin Jones who has held his own ERC Advanced Grant as well as being a reviewer for the Advanced Grant scheme, most recently as Panel Chair for the SH6 panel in 2016.

 

X5 Questionnaire for Academic and Administrative Staff

The Research Office and UIS would like to ask Academic and Administrative staff about their experience of using X5. The questionnaire takes about 10 minutes to complete and asks about any issues you encounter with X5, your suggestions of additional functionality and your views on the training provision. EPSRC Public Affairs and Media Training Opportunity

The Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council is offering a Public Affairs and Media Training opportunity for EPSRC-supported researchers. This opportunity is open to researchers who are interested in policy and evidence-based decision making and keen to acquire new communications skills. Any applicant who considers they would benefit from this training and is supported by a current EPSRC grant is eligible to apply.
