Demystyfing H2020 Audits

The Research Operations Office is organising a half-day event on Horizon 2020 audits targeted at those involved in Horizon 2020 project finance and reporting, either as an administrator or PI.  The session will be led by ROO and LEES Chartered Certified Accountants, the independent auditing firm that has been appointed by the University as the auditor for our EC grants.

The session will include

  • guidance through the rules from the Horizon 2020 Model Grant Agreement

  • personnel costs (timesheets vs. declarations, HR Records

  • eligibility of direct costs (travel, equipment and documentations)

  • internal invoicing

  • subcontracting and involvement of third parties

  • Q&A

The event will be repeated at 3 locations

Meet the Funder - Data Sharing Policy and Practice with Cancer Research UK

Dr Paola Quattroni from Cancer Research UK will give a presentation on CRUK's policy on data management and sharing including examples of data management plans. There will also be a discussion where researchers can feedback their experiences, issues and suggested solutions regarding data sharing.

The University's Open Access policy framework

In 2017 the University reviewed its Open Access Policy Framework. The new policy, has been approved by the Open Access Project Board and the Research Policy Committee. A pdf version of the 2017 policy is available and this replaces the version from January 2013.

In X5, an additional option has been added to two drop down menus.

  • When adding a new unnamed staff member the Title Mx (Gender Neutral) has been added to the drop down list
  • Under the reason for Entering New/Unnamed Post, Pooled Labour has been added
