Internally Invoiced Costs on Horizon 2020 project |
According to the current regulation of the H2020 Model Agreement, internally invoice costs charged to EU grants need to be divided up and reported according to the different cost categories. This is not only a heavy additional administrative burden, but it could also be impossible to execute in some cases. The regulation would mainly affect the eligibility of the University’s research facilities costs, but not exclusively. A detailed explanation of the issue can be found in the Joint Statement by Helmholtz. The University, together with other European institutions, is lobbying the Commission to get this requirement overturned. Departments will be notified as soon as there is an update.
