Equipment Sharing Update Easter Term 2016
Earlier this year the Science and Engineering South (SES) Equipment Sharing Consortium extended its membership to include Cambridge, Oxford, Imperial, UCL, Southampton and King’s College London. Providing access to all University staff and students with a Raven account, the Cambridge Equipment Sharing Database has registered over 2750 individual items of equipment and 58 Small Research Facilities since it began, and was accessed by its 3000th user on the 17th January 2016.

Innovate UK – new home for funding opportunities
A new governmental website has been launched for all funding competitions run by Innovate UK, the UK's innovation agency. Applications can be made to test the feasibility of your idea, research and develop it and demonstrate it in a prototype.
BA/ Leverhulme Small Research Grant applications
The British Academy Small Research Grants deadline is 11 May 2016 (5pm BST). In response to the large number of errors in previous applications, the BA has asked institutions to ensure they refer to the scheme notes and FAQs before submitting an application. ROO has produced a crib sheet to help with preparing the application.
