The European Research Council (ERC) Consolidator Grant scheme is aimed at academics from any discipline who are between 7 – 12 years from their PhD. Funding of up to €2M is available for projects up to 5 years duration, with the call deadline on 15th February 2018. The Research Operations Office (ROO) is organising an information session on how to apply to the scheme for prospective applicants

The session is being led by Andrew Macdonell from UKRO which is the UK’s National Contact Point for the ERC, and Bethan Hosking Jones, the ERC Officer at ROO. The session will provide participants with a practical overview of the ERC Consolidator Grants scheme, the proposal format and the key issues that are required to address in planning, writing and costing a proposal as well as tips for preparing for interview. There will also be the opportunity to ask questions and gain insights from current grant holders/reviewers.
