Finance Division have introduced the Cognos PI report which has been developed for use by all Principal Investigators who are paid via the University payroll and who have live grants, along with Departmental Administrators (as nominated by School Finance Managers).

This report is now available for use and provides detailed grant information as follows:

  • List of awards by PI name
  • Budget and cumulative total expenditure figures as at the previous evening
  • Drill down to a summary view of expenditure categories (budgets), expenditure by type and listing of individual expenditure items including outstanding purchase orders. Payroll commitments are not recorded
  • Further analysis is available by the Award Number to break down by Expenditure Category (budget heading)
