The University’s Large Grant Contribution Fund (LGCF) provides financial contributions for large collaborative research applications. There have been some recent updates to the criteria -
- in addition to applications led by Cambridge PIs, consideration will also be given to applications led by other institutions, where Cambridge is a major partner
- the current threshold of eligibility for Arts, Humanities and Social Science discipline applications, has been reduced from £2m to £1m
Eligible applications for STEM thematic areas remains the same and needs to be over £5m. All applications need to be fully collaborative, involving one or more external partners.
LGCF funding contributions are provided in particular for areas aligned with its priorities such as Widening Participation, Equality, Diversity and Inclusion, Building Capacity and Capability, and Building Partnerships.
