Guidance on risk assessing grant applications

Following the launch in February of the pre-checks available from the Research Operations Office for high-risk grant applications, the Research Office was asked to develop some guidance for risk assessment.  We have now developed a draft which can be used in its current format, but we would also welcome any suggestions or feedback that will make the document more useful to Departments, especially for those people with responsibility for signing off a grant application prior to it being submitted to the Research Operations Office for final checks.

We will also include a copy of this document with any future changes to the letters of Delegated Authority for each institution, which we hope will provide clarity for existing and new role-holders.
