In November 2023, the Government of Canada concluded negotiations with the European Commission for Canada's association to Pillar II of Horizon Europe. Signing of the Association Agreement is expected to take place in 2024. While Signature and implementation are ongoing, Canadians can apply now as fully-fledged members of consortia (applicable to Pillar II 'Global Challenges and European Industrial Competitiveness', including for the institutionalised European partnerships).
