- The ERC Work Programme 2026 Part 2 webinar, is aimed at researchers and professional services staff who already know the ERC application process and need details about the specific changes, rules and opportunities for 2026.

- The ERC Consolidator Grant 2026 webinar, provides researchers and professional services staff with detailed, practical information about the scheme.

- This URKO ERC Starting Grant 2026 webinar recording from 31st July is now available. Further details about the call and a crib sheet can be found on the ROO website.
Isaac Newton Trust Funding Opportunities
The Isaac Newton Trust (INT) funds research undertaken at the University of Cambridge. The following research grant calls are currently open with a deadline of 9th October 2025 at 12pm.
- Emergency Bridge & Underwriting - designed to provide support for emergency bridging or underwriting needs for early career, postdoctoral researchers.
- Project Start-up Grants - designed to support the establishment of new, stellar quality, visionary projects.
- Fellowship Support - designed to contribute match or top-up funding towards an externally awarded Early Career Fellowship to be held at the University.
Please be aware that there have been some updates to the application process including -
- all applications will now need to be submitted using an online application form
- all applicants are expected to obtain and submit their own references

The Engaged Researcher - Public Engagement Training 2025 / 26
The Public Engagement ‘Engaged Researcher’ training schedule for 2025/26 is now available and open for bookings in the University Training Booking System (UTBS).
The programme includes an introduction to Public Engagement, working with museums and schools, as well as drop-in sessions where you can talk to a member of the Public Engagement team. For any other queries about Public Engagement, please email publicengagement@admin.cam.ac.uk.
Worktribe maintenance - 9th September
Worktribe will be unavailable on Tuesday 9th September 2025 between 5pm and 7pm due to maintenance being carried out by our supplier. We apologise for any inconvenience caused.
Research Systems availability - 18th September
On Thursday 18th September 2025, essential electrical works will be carried out at the West Cambridge Data Centre (WCDC). This will impact several University services, including the following research systems which will be unavailable all day -

- X5
- REF Staff / College Information Systems
Worktribe and Elements are not expected to be affected by this work.
