Applications for US federal agency funding
The Research Operations Office (ROO) will be implementing a 7 working day deadline for applications to US federal agency funding opportunities where the University of Cambridge is the lead institution (either as a collaboration or stand-alone entity). This is due to additional checks and compliance requirements that need to be carried out by us prior to submitting the application. Previously this was a 5 working day deadline.
The new deadline policy will apply to US federal agency funding opportunities with a submission deadline from 1st October 2024 onwards where the University of Cambridge is the lead. Applications and the Worktribe/X5 costings must be received by the ROO at least 7 working days before the funder deadline.
In addition, we would appreciate it if Departments could send to ROO at the earliest opportunity any of the supplementary forms that need completing or require signatures. For example; company information forms, equal opportunity statements, conflict of interest declarations etc.
These forms do not contain project information, but are required as part of the application. By sending them to ROO in advance of the 7 working day deadline, we have sufficient time for the completion, review and/or approval by the relevant teams to ensure a full submission by the grant deadline.
If you have any queries, please contact your Research Development Team at ROO.
