X5 Upgrade

Please be advised that X5 will be unavailable on Monday 3rd March between 08:00am and 12:00 noon to allow MISD to perform an upgrade to the system.

Users have been advised separately regarding this downtime but it is important to note that once the upgrade has been completed users will need to clear their browser cache. Instructions on how to perform this task can be found here Clear_Browser_Cache Instructions. Once this has been done the user will then need to clear the cache in X5 as well and instructions on how to perform this task can be found here Clearing_X5_Cache.

The upgrade being performed is a like for like upgrade and therefore users at this time will see little change to the system functionality. There are a few screen changes and information regarding these can be found here Changes for 5.6.2008 (dept).

The “salaries not updating automatically” issue will be resolved with the upgrade. The remove and re-enter spine point workaround will no longer apply. However, it is always worth checking that the salaries have updated and look correct.

Should you have any queries please do not hesitate to contact your RSA.
