Full Economic Costing Briefing Sessions - 13 & 14 June
As part of the Research
Operations Office Training Strategy (ROOTS) the next briefing sessions on Full Economic Costing and the Income
Allocation Policy will take place as follows:
Thursday 13 June
2013, 10am-12noon, Mill Lane Lecture Room 6
Friday 14 June
2013, 10am-12noon, Clinical School Seminar Room 6
The briefings are relevant to
all staff
involved in research grants, particularly those new to the University and/or
research grants and those seeking to confirm or refresh their understanding of
University policy and its impact on research grants.
Content
includes:

What
the PI should be aware of at application
stage -
What
information might the Head of Department need to know before approving the
application -
What
questions the Departmental Administrator may ask before submitting the
application -
How
the Income Allocation Policy apportions overhead between the Department
and the University (Chest)

X5 Training Session - 19 June
There will be 2 further X5 “hands on” training sessions on
Wednesday 19 June at the following times,
09:00 – 12:30
13:30 - 17:00
These are a repeat of the sessions from
18 and 19 April.
The training will take place at the Physics MCS Room
(Room 183), East of the Bragg Building, Dept of Physics, West Cambridge. If you would like to attend, please contact
X5Project@admin.cam.ac.uk to book a place by Monday 17th June (spaces are
limited).
X5 is now the primary costing tool for the University of
Cambridge. No new pFACTs can be created
but in-progress proposals can be completed.
