1. Platforms for research data management

Would it make your research easier to handle if there was a platform to store, manage, organise and share all your notes, experimental results, parameters and discussions in one place? There are solutions available to help you with this. The Research Data Team in Cambridge is organising two events demonstrating the use of different platforms for research data management and sharing:

2. How to use the University’s repository to promote and publish your research

Pop over to our informal 1hour information session to learn about the University’s research repository ‘Apollo’ and see how it can help you to get more credit for your work. The Office of Scholarly Communication will show you how to easily get your results (even the negative ones!), articles, theses, conference presentations and posters published (= how to boost your CV!). They will also share with you some tips on how to disseminate your work to a wide audience and how to get more citations for your work.

Feel free to bring your laptops along if you wish to test our services straight away.

3. Evaluators needed for Horizon 2020, Marie Sklodowska-Curie Actions

MSCA - New Expert Evaluators Sought

As the schemes continue to be very popular and receive large numbers of proposals, new expert evaluators that have not yet registered or been invited to take part in the review process for the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA) are sought. MSCA expert evaluators are encouraged to register via the Participant Portal, in particular those that meet the following criteria:

•Experts that have not yet worked with the Research Executive Agency (REA) for MSCAs;

•Those with a practical knowledge of the research community and have already reviewed proposals at a national level;

•Experts with very good English writing skills;

•New Experts from the non-academic sector, especially industry;

•Individuals with particular expertise in ethics.

Once experts have registered through the Participant Portal, their names and expertise will be available to the REA to be invited to take part in the MSCA review process as well as the review process for all other areas of Horizon 2020.
