How to submit applications

  • H2020 funding opportunities can be found on EC Research and Innovation Participant Portal, and all applications are submitted through the Participant Portal.
  • In order to submit a proposal for the first time you will need to create a user account using your @cam.ac.uk email address. You can do this at the European Commission Authentication Service (ECAS)
  • It is the responsibility of the lead partner (Coordinator) to create and submit the proposal for a multi-beneficiary grant. Please send to your Coordinator the University's standard information file (pdf)
  • If you intend to apply as the lead of a consortium please contact the European Team for further guidance.
  • For an Individual grant involving only Cambridge the proposal is created and submitted by the PI/Dept using the Standard Information for GPFs (pdf)
  • All proposals should be checked by the Research Operations Office prior to submission.
  • To create a new proposal find the relevant call you are applying to and open the Submissions tab, ensure the correct grant type is in the drop down box and select the ‘Start Submission' button. This will open the EC's proposal wizard which guides you through the process
  • For full detailed information on the participant portal including how to register and submit your proposal, see the Proposal Submission Service User Manual (pdf)
  • See also Frequently asked questions relating to all aspects of EC work
